Moving the head
With short irons, anything from an 8 iron upwards, avoid any big shift off the ball to your trail leg in the backswing. Feel you keep pressure on your lead foot throughout - from set up to finish.
Doing so will help you to deliver a consistent downward strike on the ball and a ‘low point’ ahead of the ball ie ball then turf contact - no more ‘fat’ or ‘thin’ strikes.
